Bacon out of the box with some original lovin'

November 14, 2014

Christmas is definitely not the time to be going around breaking people's hearts. Without sounding corny - despite some already very corny mugs - Christmas should be about opening your heart and giving love to everyone. Be it your true love or a friend with whom you only do boy friend bear hugs or girl friend air kisses.

Your loving gift could, of course, be something you've made ... (find out how to make bacon hearts here).

But if you don't fancy a cheesy moment of romance over the fry pan or don't currently have anyone to share an ' aw-shucks' moment with, it might be best to find something to buy them.

Here are some of our suggestions for an original boyfriend gift - for the boy next door you've taken a fancy to, your old mate you've known since high school, or the guy you're going to marry ...

From top left to right: Original Vinyl Record Clock $50.00; deliciously smelling Mancandles $29.00; upcycled beer glasses from artist extraordinaire Ruth Allen $45.00 for a set of two; Mason Jar Cocktail Shaker $45.00; Key Ring Bottle Opener $14.95
And for that smart, sassy girlfriend of yours ...

From top left to right: Funky necklaces lovingly made from unwanted skateboard decks $45.00; makeup brush holder fashioned from colourful Hawaiian Mu'umu'u $30.00; leather Mighty Purse for a high-tech night on the town $99.95; bright, summery carry bags upcycled from plastic bags $35.00; Edison Vase for illuminating any setting $29.95.
