Colour the world of children everywhere | donate pencils

December 18, 2015 1 Comment

One of our designers, Jade Holli of Spoonflower fame, alerted us to an amazing initiative called pencils.org.au - an organisation that distributes unwanted pencils throughout orphanages in Vietnam and East Timor plus into aboriginal communities in Australia. In 2016, they are hoping to extend their network into Cambodia. We are all encouraged to clean out our stationery cupboards, package up stray pencils and post them off to the Melbourne based charity. Given each January most of us order new stationery for our school aged children, in spite of having adequate supplies from the previous year, it's sharing the love and extending the opportunity for every child to colour their world.
It's the perfect time of year to think about giving such a simple gift to those in need and let's face it, where would we be in life without an abundance of colour?

Hello Meryl, Thank you for altering me to this great charity. Also please be advised that the link in the article does not work. I found them by searching direct.
Thanks
